About Webelos Rank

A boy or girl who is 10 years old or is in the fourth grade is a Webelos Scout. Like all other new Cub Scouts, a Webelos must first earn his or her Bobcat rank. After completing the requirements for Bobcat he or she may go on to complete the requirements for the Webelos rank and the many electives that are offered for his or her rank.

Scoutbook

Scoutbook is an online tracking resource to monitor and track your Webelos Scout’s progress. Once you create an account, you will be linked to your Scout’s profile and able to record, edit, and monitor his progress through earning the 5 required Achievements and 5 electives. We encourage parents to visit Scoutbook at least monthly.

Webelos Den News

Webelos Den parents can find the latest and greatest information about upcoming plans, outings, and adventures. We will also shared stories and photos from den events and pack outings. Check what to bring to the next Den meeting, find TimetoSignUp.com links and other valuable resources to stay in the loop.

NOVA Awards

Pack 279 encourages our scouts to go above and beyond to earn special Awards and Recognitions that teach them valuable skills and knowledge. NOVA is a fun and engaging awards elective focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Awards & Recognition

Recognition has been a fundamental part of Scouting from its beginning. Done well, it is a powerful tool that can help leaders set goals, define accomplishments, encourage skill development, celebrate commitment and achievement, and inspire others to strive for similar success. Check out some of the ways Pack 279 awards hard work and provides appropriate and positive recognition.
